சித்தத்தின் அடிமைத்தனம் - மார்டின் லூதர்

"இதனால் மனித சித்தம் இரண்டுக்கும் இடையே ஒரு மிருகம் போல் இருக்கிறது. சங்கீதம் சொல்வது போல், "உமக்கு முன்பாக நான் மிருகமாகிவிட்டேன்; உமக்கு முன்பாக எப்போதும் மிருகம்போலிருந்தேன்." (சங் 73:22-23), தேவன் அதன் மீது அமர்ந்தால், தேவன் விரும்புவது போலவே சென்று செயல்படும். சாத்தான் அதன் மீது அமர்ந்தால், சாத்தான் விரும்புவது போலவே சென்று செயல்படும். மனித சித்தம் தன்மீது யார் சவாரி செய்யவேண்டும் என்றோ எங்கு செல்ல வேண்டும் என்றோ தெரிவுசெய்ய முடியாது. அதன்மீது சவாரி செய்பவர் யாரோ, அவரே அதைப் பிடித்து கட்டுப்படுத்துகிறார்."
